fast and inexpensive relocation.
Several scenarios were considered before taking a final approach on how to start the relocation and this is the route we chose. First on the menu is the franchise. New Orleans Saints. Why the Saints? Over the past Half decade the Saints have been a dominant team with growing popularity, which translates to a strong winning team that is making MONEY. Why move them? Because they have a 30+ year old stadium with a rating under 20 of the maximum 99. This allows for instant relocation. This also allows you to create a team of your own somewhere else. Lets break it down.
- The more popular the team the more $$$ the new city will offer you to relocate. Winning = Popular. After a 12-4 season the Saints were offered around 875,000,000 from all the city's, which is really good and close to a billion dollars. Unlike the Jaguars who only got bids up to the middle 500,000,000 allowing you to only buy more costs/expenses in the long run.
- Stadiums to chose from are the reasons why you want to be closer to a billion dollar bids. There are 5 models of stadiums that come in two flavors, Basic and Deluxe. You don't want basic. Why? because you are relocating away from a money pit, and you don't want to land on a new one. Deluxe stadiums will be pricey but totally worth every single penny(1.10 - 1.50+ billion) and it takes a long long time to even consider renovating a single section.
- The reasons to wait a season or two are simple. First to build up popularity and second to save up precious Funds. There is also a reason for that 875 million number to aim for. With that number you can buy a Deluxe stadium with all sections maxed out at level 5 and should cover +65% overall cost of relocation leaving you with a low weekly cost. (you will make so much money from this that you will forget about the weekly cost that gets subtracted ranges 1million+).
- Season 1, have a good strong winning record and make the playoffs. Only renovate one or two things in your stadium like the team store and concession stands which help create revenue.(don't worry about the other sections you will be leaving soon, got players to pay and funds to save)
- Season 2, during the off-season you will see the option in your actions to relocate(or in your stadium tab). Once you chose to do so the game will walk you through the steps of choosing name, location, etc. During this season you can renovate the revenue making sections if you think is necessary or simple save up every penny. Your new Stadium will be ready by off-season 3. If you need to go one more season than do so.
- This next step you want to set up at the beginning of Season 1. Prices. We took the "less is more" approach and it worked. By lowering the prices on everything the percentages of revenue had a dramatic spike upwards. Within a couple weeks the franchise was 1st in concessions, merchandise and tickets.(Several seasons after we still haven't even bothered to change prices due to the insane amount of revenue created from the bad@ss stadium & "good value" fan raiting). You can find these settings in our Stadium section located above or on the top left corner menu button from your mobile device.
News - injuries
There has been a lot of injuries this off-season. Here are the players that will miss out on the season(If injures are left on).
- Bills- WR, Kevin Elliot. This loss should not affect the team.
- Bears- QB, Matt Blanchard. This loss should not affect the team.
- Bengals- G, Tanner Hawkinson. This loss should not affect the team.
- Broncos- RB, C.J Anderson. This loss should not affect the team.
- Browns- G, Jason Pinkston. With a thin depth at the position you will need to most likely trade or pick up from free agency. The trade suggestion is to look for a 2-4 year pro to be a stud at the position. The improvement will help the monster beast that is Trent Richardson.
- Chargers- CB, Steve Williams. This loss should not affect the team. Although it wont impact the team this is a player you want to keep your eyes on. Williams was showing big potential, will be a sleeper player for next season.
- Cowboys- LB, Alex Albright. This loss should not affect the team.
- Eagles- CB, Curtis Marsh. The Eagles could use some upgrading at the positon regardless if Marsh was taking reps with the first team during camp. DE, Philip Hunt. Hunt was a decent back up in 13 this loss wont take a big toll. WR, Jeremy Maclin. This loss will have some effect but he is replaceable. Maclin could even be traded by the next season if the Draft class provides strong promising players at the position. Advice; keep him around and weigh out the options, not focusing too much on letting him go.
- Saints- DE, Kenyon Coleman. The D-line for the Saints is falling apart slowly. Here is the Beauty of Madden...Complete overhaul!! That's the advice, cut over paid players and trade away what you can. Look for young players with skills to fit the new 3-4 scheme. Don't expect the defense to be top 5 right away, give time in order for players brought in to blossom and tweak/update positions as needed.
